Originally, I was supposed to have a field trip to Den Haag (The Hague) but since the boys missed classes on Monday, things were rearranged. Netherlands and its European Context was rescheduled for this morning. Also, since the field trip was canceled I had an Art and Architecture museum trip to Den Haag. We went to a really neat museum. It was not very big but it had many famous works including Vermeer’s Girl with the Pearl Earring and many works by Rembrandt.
Rick, Carolyn, and Tam went to Amsterdam while I was in classes. They went to The Lord in the Attic and a free walking tour which showed them the main sites in Amsterdam. When they returned to Leiden, they were not very hungry. So we got a cheap meal at McDonalds.
