Today, I had classes all day so Emily went to Amsterdam by herself. I wasn’t too worried about her because I had several maps of the city for her to use. I walked her part way to the train station and went to class. When I got to class, Dennis, Kyler, and Joel were a little shocked that I let her go by herself to Amsterdam. So of course, this worried me a little.
I had Netherlands and its European Context this morning. I gave a short presentation that went well. We had Dutch movie appreciation day. We watched a movie about a Jewish woman and her journey to survive during World War II. It was in Dutch but we had English subtitles to follow. The movie was full of drama. I was sitting on the edge of my seat the entire time.
I had photography this afternoon. We looked at our pictures we took for the assignment. We also talked about the assignment for next week. We had our final lesson in Photoshop as well. We finished class by watching a film about a photographer and how he went about taking photographs.
After class, I went back to my room. About a half hour later, Emily returned from Amsterdam. For the most part she had a good day. We decided to go out to eat since it was her last evening in Europe. We went to the English Pub close to my school. Joel had eaten there before with his dad and recommended it. The food was good. Emily had a steak in pepper sauce, a salad, and fries. I ordered ribs which came with a garlic sauce. Both our meals were good and very filling.
