This morning we got up and got ready. We had our own breakfast this morning so we did not have to pay the hostel for its very lacking breakfast. Rick and I first went to the train station to get our train ticket to Florence. We met with Rachel and went to a park. We walked around for awhile and then went back to the hostel for a little bit after we ate lunch.
We then decided to walk around the Roman Forum and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. We also saw a church and many other interesting sites. We then walked to the coliseum. We found out that it closed early today. We decided to go back to the hostel and relax for a little bit.
After getting some energy back, we went and explored. We found the Mouth of Truth and the area where the Circus Maximous used to be. We went to a restaurant and got pasta for dinner. Then we had gelato for desert!
It was getting dark and we decided to go to the Coliseum to get some pictures of it at night. When we arrived, there was a large crowed with probably a million people or more. We saw the Pope giving his Good Friday service. We couldn’t understand what was being said, but it was really cool to be there.
