Normally I won’t have classes on Wednesday. However, since my Dutch professor couldn’t meet on Tuesday, I had class this morning at 10:00. Joel decided to take Dutch 2 with me. So thankfully, I won’t have to take it by myself. Class went really well. Both Joel and I felt like we understood what was going on. For next week, we need to review one lesson and prepare two others. We also have a couple short assignments that shouldn’t take too long.
This afternoon we went shopping. We went to a department store to get notebooks and folders for class. We then walked through the market. I got some olives, stuffed peppers, mixed nuts, and zucchini. We then went to the grocery store to get the items that we couldn’t get at the market. I was running out of food so I stocked up. My bag was very heavy when I left. At least now, I have plenty of meal options.
I had some bread that wasn’t good anymore. So this evening we decided to take a walk and feed the ducks. They must have been sleeping since we didn’t see very many. Actually I was informed we didn't see any ducks because the birds were water hens. It was still nice to walk around and see Leiden at night.
