Royal Delft


Part of the Factory


To make vases they pour the liquid clay into molds. The walls harden and when they are at the desired thickness, the excess clay is poured out and then the vase is fired.

This shows the steps of making Delftware. The far left is when it comes out of the mold. Second, is what it looks like when it comes out of the kiln. The third example is what it looks like after being painted. The far right shows the final product after it has been fired for a second time.
