This morning Sara and I had chocolate and churros for breakfast. It is very hard to describe but they sort of tasted like a funnel cake. We dipped the churros in melted chocolate. I don’t know if I would order them again but it was fun to try another Spanish treat. Sara had class so I again worked on some homework, checked my email, and printed my boarding pass for my flight back to the Netherlands. I couldn’t find a relatively cheap flight directly to Dublin, so I just decided to do two separate flights. Sara and I ate lunch and then it was time for me to catch the bus to Madrid.
It was really hard leaving. Spain is beautiful. It was warm and sunny. I really didn’t want to go back to the cloudy gray skies and rain. It was even harder to leave Sara. It was so nice to be with my friends again. Don’t get me wrong, I like Kyler and Joel but we have different interests. It was so fun being able to see where Sara lives and goes to school. I had my own personal tour guide and hostess which was really nice. I wish I could have stayed a month or the rest of the semester!
I took the 4:00 bus back to Madrid. The bus ride took about five hours. We did get a short break in the middle to get out and stretch. I had a window seat so I could see the different landscapes. I was interesting to see the land features such as the mountains and flatter lands. When I arrived in Madrid, I took the Metro to my hostel. I stayed in the same hostel Sara and I did earlier in my trip, so it was really easy to find. I shared my room with a couple. They didn’t say one word to me so it was a little awkward, but I was able to get some sleep.
It was hard watching you leave...we had such a great time! Thanks again for coming...Miss you!
